Bio of Budd Malchus Cornet Asst. Conductor, Arranger I received my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Miami, FL. As a student at the University, I was the recipient of a four year band scholarship.Prior to moving to Tucson, I taught music for 4 years in GA and 31 years in OH. My wind ensemble at North Olmsted High School, OH, took 5 concert tours in Canada. My marching band performed at college and Cleveland Browns football games. I was elected to the American Band Directors Association in 1977 and I am currently a member of the MENC. My wife, Eleanor, and I moved to Tucson 13 years ago where I retired from the Amphitheater School District after teaching music for 9 years. I currently perform with the Arizona Syphonic Winds, the Tucson Concert Band, the Old Pueblo Brass Band and I also direct the Desert Aires Clarinet Choir and play hand bells in the Northminster Church bell choir. |
