Goldie started her musical education when she started playing piano in kindergarten. What a Great start!

She started learning how to play the trombone in 1993 and played continuously through high school and early college years.

She completed her bachelor's degree in Optical Sciences & Engineering in 2006 from the University of Arizona. With no desire to leave Tucson, she decided to continue her studies. Goldie is currently pursuing her PhD in Optical Sciences.

Playing trombone continues to be one of her favorite hobbies. She discovered and joined the Old Pueblo Brass Band in 2008.
